COLERIDGE — The stars will come out here this weekend when Coleridge High School students will celebrate their 2009 Prom.
“Counting the Stars” is this year’s theme for the event, which will be held Saturday.
The spring formal will start off with the junior-senior banquet, which will be held at the Coleridge Community Building, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
After the meal the students will move to the high school.
The Grand March will begin in the high school gym at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s representatives are Megan Wolfe and Cody Wood, freshmen; Bethany Barelman and Billy Leapley, sophomores; and Melissa Gullicksen and Jimmy Bush, juniors.
Coronation will be held at the conclusion of the Grand March, also in the gym.
Candidates for Prom Queen this year are April Lewis, daughter of Roxanne Lewis and Barry Lewis; Taylor Olsen, daughter of Kirk and Sharon Olsen; Kelsey Papenhausen, daughter of Marlin and Lynn Papenhausen; and Sophie Wemhoff, daughter of Jeff and Ronnette Wemhoff.
Prom King Candidates are Tyler Hefner, son of Bill and Julie Hefner; Jamie Huss, son of Larry and Donna Huss; Aaron Olsen, son of Mike and Denise Olsen; and Seth Schroeder, son of John and Sally Schroeder.
Following coronation, there will be a dance held at the school for the high school students.
Post prom festivities will once again be held after the dance is concluded.
