Coleridge battles state tny foe
LINCOLN — The Coleridge Lady Bulldogs got off to a rocky start in Thursday’s Class D2 state tourney opener at Lincoln North High School.
The Lady Blue fell 25-6 in the first set to 28-1 Clay Center.
The Coleridge girls bounced back in the best-of-five contest to earn the second set win 25-23. Clay Center regrouped in the third set to claim the 25-16 win and put Coleridge on the verge of elimination. The Clay Center team then eliminated Coleridge with another 25-16 decision in the fourth set.
