COLERIDGE — The Coleridge Village Board may have to appoint two new members.
No candidates had filed for the three vacant slots by the deadline last August, so no names are listed on the ballot. Mary Jo Hansen, who is filling out the unexpired term of Wes Meyer, has since filed an affidavit to run as a write-in candidate for the board.
Cedar County Clerk Dave Dowling said all other write-ins will also be counted. The three highest write-in candidates will then be elected to the Board. Those people can still choose not to accpet the nomination, however. In that case, the Village Board would have to appoint someone to fill the vacant slots.

VERMILLION, S.D. — The Dakota Dome was not kind to the Coleridge Bulldogs as they were soundly beaten by the Allen Eagles 29-6 on Friday night under the roof.
The Bulldogs were able to move the ball on the ground against the Eagles defense but not through the air as they completed only 1-13 pass attempts for just six yards on the night.
